Our regular fourth Saturday dance in February is cancelled. The Saturday night dance of Bayou Bedlam takes its place and is held at the Knights of Columbus Hall, not at our regular dance location.
We hope that you will register for the full weekend. Not only will you have a blast, your dancing will improve as you learn and practice skills that we don't always teach at our regular dances.
But if you can only attend part-time, be aware that the admission price for most individual sessions is $30 ($40 Saturday evening) per person, payable at the door.
HATDS members qualify for a $5 discount at one individual session. If you're not a member, click here to join.
You may pay at the door with cash, check, credit card, PayPal, or Venmo. Young people under 18 are admitted free of charge. Those 13 and younger must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Teens 14-17 must supply a phone number for a responsible adult.
Please Volunteer!
Producing an event such as Bayou Bedlam requires many helping hands. There are several ways you can help; here are three of them:
1. Offer Home Hospitality
We are always looking for home hospitality for our out-of-town guests. If you can offer sleeping space, please click the button to submit your offer to our housing coordinator. Even if you are not able to attend all or part of Bayou Bedlam this year, please consider hosting out-of-town dancers.
2. Come to Slice 'n Dice
Volunteers are needed at the annual Slice 'n Dice party, an open-to-all gathering where the food preparation begins. Come join us around 6:30 pm on the Wednesday before the Bayou Bedlam weekend (Feb. 19 this year). We'll meet at Alice's home at 921 Judiway, 77018 (the house in the back). Bring your own knives and cutting boards.
3. Help During the Weekend
There are several jobs that need doing over the course of the weekend, none of which require much time. Click the button to see a list and to sign up to help.
