Caller Cis Hinkle has taken ill. Jacqui Grennan has agreed to step in at the last minute to call for us.

Bayou Bedlam is the annual contradance festival held in Houston, Texas. The 2026 festival, our 32nd, features Jacqui Grennan from Los Angeles making her Bayou Bedlam debut. Jacqui will be calling to the dynamic New England band, Eloise & Co.

Note: Jacqui will be using gender-free terms throughout the weekend.

The core of Eloise & Co. is Becky Tracy on fiddle and Rachel Bell on accordion. They will be joined by Bethany Waickman on guitar.

Although each has previously played Bayou Bedlam with other bands, this is their Texas debut as a trio.

  • We are fortunate to have an older hall with a sprung wood floor that was built specifically for dancing.
  • Houston's February weather is normally mild—comfortably cool and sunny.
  • The food! We include home-cooked lunch on Saturday and brunch on Sunday as well as snacks throughout the weekend.
